Deacon Board Leader: Deacon Chris Hill
Ministr y Of Deacons (Deacon Board) Deacons serve the Lord by conducting the caring ministry of the church-doing the benevolence work, visiting the sick, being alert to the spiritual and physical needs of the congregation-for the purposes of freeing the pastor to focus on prayer and the ministry of the Word. Those men that hold the title of deacon should have a high degree of maturity, integrity, full of the Holy Spirit, full of wisdom, rule their house well, have a good reputation, and have only one wife. The presence of deacons should advance the unity of the Church. “For they that have used the office of a deacon will purchase to themselves a good degree, and great boldness in the faith which is in Christ Jesus.” (1 Tim. 3:13)
