After the anniversary dinner, members gathered to reminisce about people and days of old at St. John's.  Mrs. Barbara Knight opened with prayer.  Past leaders of the church were called by name:  The Sowell's, Harts, Rev. Hamlin, Rev. Hill, and Sis. Essie Bryant, Hester Lewis, Sis. Geraldine Briscoe, Sis Geneva Pierce, Rev. J.E. Jones, Deacon Cecil Scroggins, Deacon M.C. Washington, Bro. Dalbert and Deacon Arthur Moye. Members had a good time recalling when they came to Salina and joined the church and what it means to them now. The questioned was asked what legacy we are leaving for future generations. Do they know the history of St. John’s and what kind of history are we creating for them in the present. Deacon Joe Jones gathered the group around the present pastor, Allen D. Smith and lifted him up in prayer and dismissed the group with prayer.
